Verve Packaging

Starting with a rectangular package template, we were to make modifications to the design and create a product to be packaged in our modified box. Not pictured in my mock ups are the unique closure and asymmetrical silhouette I chose to incorporate in my modifications (pictures to come).

For my product I created a tea brand called Verve. For this brand I wanted to use bright colors and use illustrations to build the branding and packaging elements. I loved experimenting with color and layout to provide the user with a unique experience that would heighten the experience of an everyday habit.

Thinking about the experience of interacting with packaging influenced me to really explore how my package could become an experience in itself, not a passive task. To accomplish this I created a button- and- string closure and had the branding/ illustrations wrap around multiple surfaces. Using these techniques, I was able to create a package that added a meditative and intentional element to using the product. My hope was that the user take the time unraveling the string, opening the box, and retrieving the product to reflect and meditate on their day, the task at hand, thoughts, etc.
